The XC track covers a huge part of the hill, stretching from one end to the other, providing around 8km of trails encompassing a wide range of ups, downs, challenging and varied terrain, stunning views, and even a separate freeride black run for the more adventurous.
Once again, before you ride anywhere on the hill we ask you to make sure you are familiar with the Rules and Regs
The trails are all way marked according to ability level, so you should be easily guided throughout the site with no concerns about where you are, no matter how lost you feel.
There are sweet sections of singletrack that swoop thier way through the evergreen forests, rock armoured crossings over streams and small sections of northshore dotted around the tracks to get you past some of the more (constantly) boggy sections. . As a result the tracks are rideable in all conditions, provided your fit enough for some of the uphills….

With the Haldon Forest Park opening festival going off with a bang, things look set for 2006 to be a good year for mountainbiking in and around Exeter. The turn out for the opening was huge, with all ages and walks of cyclist mingling and getting to know some of the trails. Everyone that we spoke to across the day seemed to be having a great time. So now that the opening is over and done with you would be correct to assume that all the trails are fully open for riding, but we still ask you to watch out for the trailbuilding team (Esp on Sundays) as we will be doing the odd bit of maintenance here and there.
Thanks to everyone who turned up and made it the great day that it was! We hope that you continue to enjoy riding the trails, its what makes it all worth our while.
